Student Success Stories

I received support from Rachel while I was studying at college. Her guidance was incredibly valuable in preparing me for the transition from A-level to university.

She supported me in developing my academic skills particularly in essay writing, structuring arguments and conducting effective research. This helped me gain a clearer understating of what would be expected of me at university level and how to approach my studies. This support was especially helpful as I went on to study law at Cardiff university , as it gave me a strong academic foundation and made me feel prepared for the courses demands.

As a result of her support I felt much more confident overall and better prepared to start university. I was able to adapt more quickly, and I know this is largely due to the strong foundation she helped me build.
Overall, the support I received was instrumental in easing my transition to university and setting me up for the success during my LL

My first son went to university after covid and struggled academically due to the online teaching. So wanted to ensure my second son was prepared , didn’t struggle and wasn’t at risk of dropping out too. Its such a large amount of debt and pressure on him that I wanted to get him ready before he left.

Having the extra support and understanding of university assignments really helped him. He knew what to expect during those long seminars and he felt prepared.

This really helped me feel confident when he left and felt assured that he would do well.

Having the extra support really helped me as I was concerned about being able to do well at university level. I learnt about critically thinking and essay structure which helped me get good grades right from the very start.

I also really did enjoy the one on one time as this gave me the chance to ask questions. I found this very valuable as I could get the answers I didn’t get the chance to ask in 6th form. Nothing was ever too much and I could ask anything before starting university, which really helped me to feel prepared before leaving home and moving into halls.

Starting early with support really did help me in achieving grades to get a first and now I have you been accepted for a MSc - so thank you for all of your support.
